Sunday 1st December: Get hands on to make beeswax wraps in this Eco-friendly/Zero waste gifting workshop. Why do we so often let our moral standards slip when it comes to gift giving? Let us all embrace this time of giving, with a personal gift that echoes our ecological values and our motives for treading more lightly on this precious earth. This workshop aims to give participants ideas for Zero waste and Eco-friendly gifting, including alternatives to single use wrapping.
All participants, young and old will get hands on to make bees wax wraps and a quirky little pot of toothpaste to take home. We are showcasing ideas such as: remaking old books into letter holders, music scores transformed into flowers. Crochet string shopping bags, patchwork pot holders, yarn organisers, cotton dish cloths, toothpaste pots, bottled water kefir, shampoo bars. Not only are these gift ideas zero waste when they are made but they are an ongoing zero waste choice for the years to come.
We will also explore quirky wrapping and boxing alternatives. After getting hands on making beeswax wraps there will be time to browse the many tempting zero waste /Eco-friendly gifting ideas on showcase and we will have trade table on the day.
This event is children friendly (must be accompanied by an adult).
