When replacing my plastic toothbrushes, I choose wooden, when replacing scrubbing brushes, I choose wooden handles with natural fibre bristles. I have replaced synthetic kitchen sponges with knitted cotton dish cloths. What Plastic items have you replaced at the end of its life?
Replace Plastic items with glass, wood, bamboo as they reach the end of their life. It is not realistic to rid your entire house of plastic in the short term. Nor is it helping the problem if we throw away all our Tupperware and it becomes landfill.
I have had some Tupperware for 20 years and it is still going strong. As I have a need to replace some of these items I will be choosing glass.
